Scare Up Some Fun

With Halloween comes spooky surprises, enough candy to make your heart skip a beat, and a parade of costumes that inspire everything from "awwww" to "AAAHHHH!" This year, go all out with decorations and treats that will delight -- and terrify -- both kids and adults in your 'hood.

THE TRICK
Start off with Halloween-themed cards from Indigospirit and drop an invitation in your neighbours' mailboxes to let them know that you'll be hosting a celebration of scare on October 31. Then, up your home's spooky quotient with stemless Halloween wine glasses, skull tea lights, and Halloween punching pens from Carlton Cards (and don't forget the bony finger earrings!) Stop by Rexall for some spooky spiders, and top it off with lettered balloons from You Send Me to spell out a spooky message for all to see. Boo!

THE TREAT
Rocky Mountain Chocolates is the spot for sweet treats: try their Smashing Pumpkin centrepiece, made of milk chocolate and filled with caramel corn and nuts, the #Nobrainer chocolate pumpkin, filled with gummy worms and other sweets, or their white chocolate skull. Then throw in some Halloween themed Lindor Truffles from Lindt. You know what goes real nice with chocolate? Something warm and delicious. Pick up some Organic Stormy Night Tea from DAVIDsTEA and fill your mugs - or their Halloween-themed Taro stainless steel bottle - with a steamy, spicy potion of chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla flavours (insert witches' cackle here).
